LoneStar PRD Bolting appears on the BBC
On Thursday 24th January 2013, LoneStar Group were delighted to tune in and see their products featured on a BBC2 programme called The Genuis of Invention.
Months prior to the show airing, Sally-ann Murray, Business Development Manager at LoneStar PRD, visited Turbine Engineer Andy Storr at Drax Power Station. Andy informed Sally that the BBC were planning a documentary on great inventions, with the first episode focusing on the Power industry and the invention of the Steam Turbine. With a little encouragement from Sally, Andy agreed to appear in the documentary which aired 3 months later.
During his TV interview with programme presenter, Michael Moseley, Andy showed LoneStar PRD products - high temperature casing studs and cap nuts. This was a great example of the fasteners typically used on a steam turbine.
