LoneStar Announce New HQ and Manufacturing and Distribution Centre of Excellence

LoneStar Group are pleased to announce it is to invest in a LoneStar Leeds API 6A.pdfnew HQ and manufacturing and distribution centre of excellence in the West Midlands.

Extensive refurbishment and modernisation work will begin in February to create an impressive new 115,000 square foot facility at Universal Point in Steelmans Road, near Junction 9 of the M6. It is scheduled to be completed by the summer of 2014.

LoneStar employees from the company's existing sites in the Black Country -LoneStar Eurofast, LoneStar PRD and LoneStar Triplefast -will transfer to the facility when the refurbishment is completed, along with staff from the existing head office in Kennicott House in Wednesfield.

Mike Curnyn, LoneStar's Global Vice President of Operations, said: "The Black Country is a fantastic place to do business. We will create a modern manufacturing and distribution facility in a central location, and with it the opportunity - by integrating our three businesses in the West Midlands - to safeguard hundreds of jobs and build a successful platform for future growth and development." 

The new plant will feature best-in-class manufacturing and laboratory facilities, warehousing and offices. The site is 2 miles south of Walsall and is currently occupied by Aqualux Products, who will vacate the site early in the New Year, it is no more than 4.2 miles from LoneStar’s existing head office and PRD, Triplefast and Eurofast sites.

"Our new plant will provide us with increased manufacturing capability, excellent facilities and a superb working environment for our highly-skilled, committed workforce in the West Midlands.”
