LoneStar Takes Practical Completion of New European Centre of Excellence

LoneStar are pleased to announce that LoneStar Fasteners Europe (LSFE) officially took practical completion of their new site in the West Midlands, UK on Friday 25th July 2014. 

In March, we announced the official alignment of PRD Fasteners, Eurofast Petrochemical Supplies and Triplefast International as one company to form LoneStar Fasteners Europe. Operating as one company and from a new location in Wednesbury, West Midlands, LSFE will become the Group's European centre of excellence for the manufacture & distribution of Special & Non-Standard Fasteners and Gaskets.

Extensive refurbishment began earlier this year and is now complete in line with the scheduled programme. This provides LoneStar with an impressive finished building ready for LSFE to begin their detailed relocation and mobilisation plan. (R&M)

The R&M plan will commence 5th September with the movement of the first machines with full completion by 30th October 2014.  This will be mirrored by a similar R&M plan for the sales and commercial offices who will move across the weekend of 20th/21st September 2014.

During the move it will be business as usual and LSFE will continue to keep their customers updated on the process during the next few months.

External Signage



The brand new signage on the front, side and rear of the building has been installed. 
The company's new logo is built up in three dimensional letters with back-lit illumination, sized 9m x 2m.


A large monolith has also been installed outside the front of our building to welcome visitors onto site and assist with directions.


Corridors- reception and ground floor offices



Ground floor corridors are complete, with carpet laid, walls painted and walnut doors installed. Ground floor corridors lead to reception with access to spacious individual offices, meeting rooms, a dedicated HSE room, the large boardroom and toilets


Open plan modern office space


All building work and finishing on the first floor offices is complete. The open plan general office will incorporate departments including Sales, Marketing, Customer Services, Procurement, Sub-Contract, Planning and Engineering. 



Ground floor offices also follow the same modern feel with bright lighting in the large spacious areas to accommodate our warehouse and production departments.


Meeting Rooms


Our new facility has a number of meeting rooms and drop in areas - all of these are now finished and awaiting furniture. 
The sales meeting room has a viewing window that has views across the whole of the production area. 





Our 95,000 sq ft warehouse and production space has finished refurbishment - with new lighting installed and floors, walls and pathways painted - creating a bright impressive space in preparation for the delivery of our machinery throughout August and September.




Refurbishment on the new reception area has commenced and will be fully complete at the end of July. With the standard and suspended ceiling now fitted and bright spot lights installed - our bespoke design is really starting to take shape.

Further features will include a bespoke desk, custom built display cabinet, marble floor tiling, 60" flat screen TV behind the reception desk and two seating areas. 





The first floor kitchen areas is now fully installed - awaiting furnishing, refrigerator and dishwasher. We also have a large 100 seat canteen area on the ground floor which will have ample facilities for employees including a self service mini market which is due for completion in August. 



The spacious canteen area is nearing completion with the self service mini market due to be installed in August. Colorful seating and bench furniture is due for delivery in early August which will brighten up this space and create a relaxed, fun environment for our workforce to enjoy their break and lunch times. A large quirky montage is also being added to create a unique LoneStar feature wall.





Our laboratory area is large, bright and spacious - perfect for our state of the art laboratory equipment to move across in September. Our current lab which is located at PRD  was audited at the end of June and we are now working in accordance with ISO 17025 to address the minimal observations found during the audit and will be gaining full approval in 6-8 weeks.

Welfare areas




All toilets and welfare areas are now fully installed across the new site. In addition, work has progressed well in our male and female welfare areas that offer individual lockers, changing and shower facilities for our employees. The lockers are due to be installed shortly.
