Investing in advanced technologies for future growth.
Strategic investment in machinery, equipment and materials is vital to the ongoing success of the LoneStar Group. It’s through this continuous refinement that we’re able to operate as the foremost global manufacturer and supplier of precision-engineered, high-performance, approved and accredited components across a diversified range of specialist sectors.
By undertaking many significant operational enhancements over the last 18 months, we’re further strengthening our ability to meet the complex needs of the world’s major critical industries. The result? Future-proofing our world and yours.
Committing to in-house manufacture at scale.
The LoneStar Group offers over 155 CNC machining centres, 28 of which provide single hit ‘bar to product’ machining. These in-house capabilities are positioned throughout our global group of companies, creating an unrivalled network of manufacturing and global supply chain centres that deliver machining excellence within key markets and locations.
Despite these proven proficiencies, the ongoing investment into our products, services, machinery, equipment, materials and long-standing expertise remains an unassailable requirement across the LoneStar Group. At LoneStar Fasteners Hydrobolt (LSFH) alone, we’ve invested over £3.5m in machine tools and testing equipment over the course of 2023-24. In addition, LSFH are moving from three sites to two ultra-modern, specialised facilities – a re-organisation that will boost efficiencies while doubling our usable floor and storage space. With increased capacity, we’ve been able to purchase and install a range of equipment upgrades including a Hwacheon hi-tech 850XL horizontal lathe and other state-of-the-art systems.
All these recent additions augment our ability to make the highest quality parts to exacting tolerances with dramatically improved cycle times. What’s more, in 2024 we onboarded 14 new apprentices across our LSFH operations to ensure we continue to upskill our people and strengthen our ability to provide consistent, industry-leading expertise to our customers.
‘This latest round of investment across the entire LoneStar Group indicates our ongoing commitment to the pursuit of machining and people excellence. By strengthening our world today, we’re able to strengthen the capabilities of our exceptional customers, both tomorrow and into the future’. Richard Pickles. CEO. The LoneStar Group.
Evolving with customers.
As existing and new customers alike continue to explore future technologies that frequently require large turned threaded parts, the LoneStar Group has heavily invested to offer approved and accredited components across the full spectrum of our customers’ precision-engineered requirements, whatever their size and tolerance. That means we can now manufacture in-house and distribute fasteners as well as turned and milled products up to a maximum turning diameter of 800mm and a maximum turning length of 8000mm (between centres 5000mm). This equipment improvement complements our existing ability to thread roll up to 4” and forge up to 7” in billet diameter.
Experience class-leading processes, efficiencies and critical assets.
Many LoneStar Group customers are already seeing the transformative advantages of our most recent equipment investments, reporting double digit reductions in operational process times, project cost savings and increased overall component quality.
